Canada National Defence - Esquimalt Dockyard, BC, Canada

During the summer of 2003, I worked with Canada National Defence’s westcoast Fleet Maintenance Facility (FMF) in a temporary appointment as an Equipment Technologist with their Industrial Engineering group. My responsibilities included tendering new equipment, completing engineering analyses of failing equipment, and acting as a liaison between shop workers and engineers. With over 6000 individual pieces of equipment servicing 5 Patrol Frigates, 2 Destroyers, 1 Supply Ship, 6 Maritime Coastal Defence Vessels, 1 Sail Training Yacht, and 1 Victoria Class Submarine, my group was kept quite busy.
